International demand for our You Me Everybody campaign grows

Last year, Youth Defence launched a billboard campaign as a part of the nationwide campaign entitled 'You Me Everybody'. The central billboard in the project was a huge hit and the campaign aims to ensure that the government moves to protect life from conception and ban lethal research on human embryos.

Some 728,000 people saw the pro-life billboards, with their amazing pro-life message 'YOU ME EVERYBODY. We're all just grown-up embryos'. This campaign worked to promote dialogue on the issue of embryonic stem cell research and was met by much public interest and this enthusiasm continues to grow.

Since November, YD has received requests from pro-life groups all over the world wanting to use the billboard and its slogan. Rebecca Roughneen of Youth Defence said, "This concept is now appearing on billboards in Australia, on posters in France, pro-life materials in Belgium and the United States." She added that they recently worked with a group in America, who have plans to post the You Me Everybody billboard through the US in the near future.

Rebecca concluded, "We continue to receive interest in this billboard and the campaign. This is a perfect example that a good idea really does travel well!"
