The General Election is taking place on Friday 29th November. Polling stations are open from 7 a.m.–10 p.m. If you are over 18 years and your name is included in the electoral register you are entitled to vote in the local area in which you live. Check online at checktheregister.ie.
Under the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2023, there will be 174 TDs at the next election, an increase of 14 seats from the current Dáil, and an increase in the number of constituencies from 39 to 43. This will be the largest Dáil in the history of the state.

There are over 600 candidates standing in the General Election.
