On the anniversary of the referendum which deleted the 8th amendment from the constitution, we remember the victims of abortion.

We gathered at the Dáil to remember the 60,000 babies aborted since 25th May 2018. The tide will turn. This law will be overturned.

60,000 abortions

Figures confirmed that the numbers of abortions that had taken place since 2019 had exceeded 60,000, and that successive governments had broken promises made in the 2018 referendum that abortion would be “rare”.

2019: 6,666

2020: 6,577

2021: 6,700

2022: 8,156

2023: 10,033

2024: 10,852

2025: 11,000 (estimate)
