Reclaim pro-life youth speaks to UCD students

I recently had the privilege of attending a prayer meeting at University College Dublin (UCD) as a speaker, and what I witnessed was both inspiring and encouraging. The room was packed with young students—students whose faith was clearly growing in a place often seen as hostile to religious beliefs. It was heartwarming to see so many gathered together, in one room, eager to strengthen their faith.

As our Reclaim youth group had been invited, I had the opportunity to give a presentation on the aftermath of Ireland's 2018 abortion referendum and the current policies. I explained what abortion is, the tragic consequences it has, and why it is such a crucial issue for voters in the upcoming general election.

I emphasized that voting pro-life is the most important issue that one can vote on - it’s about protecting the unborn baby, upholding the sanctity of life, and defending the most vulnerable members of our society.

As I spoke, it was clear that some of the  students in the room were passionate about making a difference. Their commitment to their faith and values, despite the challenges they may face on campus, was truly inspiring. This prayer meeting was a reminder of the power of faith and the importance of standing up for what is right.

Leaving the meeting, I felt both humbled and hopeful, knowing that the future of Ireland's faith and values is in the hands of these young, dedicated students. The involvement in the pro-life movement is a powerful force that can lead to meaningful change in our society.
