​Bernie Smyth

Bernie Smyth is the Chairwoman of Precious Life. She lives in Ballymena, Co. Antrim with her husband Derick and their four children. She is co-founder of Precious Life - a direct action group in the North of Ireland dedicated to fighting against the extension of the British Abortion Act to the North of Ireland.

Bernie has raised the issue of abortion throughout the North and recently was instrumental in the establishment of the All Party Pro-Life Committee in Stormont which voted unanimously not to allow legalisation of abortion in the North of Ireland.
