Pro-life newspaper adverts make major impact

A series of adverts booked by the Life Institute in Ireland's most widely read daily paper reveals the truth that abortion never saves a life.

Dublin was recently host to a major international conference - The International Symposium on Maternal Health - which confirmed that abortion is never necessary to save the life of a woman. The Life Institute are making sure that this declaration is not ignored.

A series of advertisements taken out in the Dublin Metro - which reaches over 200,000 people daily - spelled out the facts, including the Dublin Declaration, issued by a panel of experts at the Symposium which categorically confirmed that abortion is not ever necessary to save a woman's life. The Symposium featured testimonies from world-leading experts in gynaecology, oncology, in-utero surgey, and more, and affirmed that abortion is never necessary to save a woman's life.

The advert is colourful, eye-catching, and makes three simple points:

Ireland, without abortion, is one of the safest places in the world to have a baby,

Abortion is never necessary to treat cancer or any other illness, and

Claims to the contrary are simply untrue.

These facts have consistently been confirmed by Irish obstetricians and gynaecologists, but abortion campaigners continue to issue misinformation falsely claiming otherwise.

The Life Institute and Youth Defence have recently coordinated a number of wide reaching advertising campaigns with this and similar messages. The recent "Better Answer" billboard campaign was displayed nationwide, was seen by millions, and caused an significant shift in public awareness and attitude.
