Wexford for Life Rally to take place on 20th June

📅 Date: June 20th

🕑 Time: 2PM

📍Location: Friary Church

Wexford for Life will hold its first Rally for Life on Saturday, 20th June, beginning at 2.00pm from Wexford Friary.

The event aims to promote and celebrate the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death. Participants will gather to show support for the protection of life at all stages and to raise awareness of the importance of compassionate support for women facing unplanned pregnancies.

A spokesperson for Wexford for Life said: “We believe that every life has dignity and worth, regardless of age, circumstance or stage of development.

No woman should feel she is alone, coerced, or without support when facing an unplanned pregnancy. We know that such situations can involve fear, confusion, financial stress, relationship difficulties, or concerns about health.

Our response is a compassionate presence for mothers, fathers and unborn children.

We are currently working on a new campaign to keep the 3 day wait. The 3 day wait was put there as a safeguard to give the expectant mother 72 hours to consider her decision.

We encourage all politicians to keep the 3 day wait, which since 2019, has saved the lives of 1,000’s of children, as mothers did not return after the first abortion appointment - because they had time to think and get help and choose life.”

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend and join this peaceful and positive event.”
