The video, released today by the Life Institute, shows that leading medical experts are unanimous in their agreement that abortion is not a treatment for suicidality.

"The video uses the evidence given at government hearings last month by the leading medical experts on this issue," said Niamh Uí Bhriain of the Life Institute.

"That evidence demolished the case for legalising abortion on suicide grounds. We're now ensuring that this evidence is heard by the public, and this video is an important part of this project."

We're going to make sure it is widely shared and that, with our adverts and awareness campaign, the nation will understand that the government has no basis for legalising abortion on suicide grounds.
