"Pull a leg or two": David Daleiden's horrifying new bombshell video

Yesterday, the Center for Medical Progress released another video, a series of clips highlighting conversations with abortionists as they describe their trade. By the end of the day, YouTube had pulled the video down, and the Washington Post reports that a San Francisco judge has ordered David Daleiden and his attorneys, Steve Cooley and Brentford J. Ferreira to attend a hearing where he will consider holding them in contempt of court. The judge had previously blocked the release of any video footage shot at the National Abortion Federation conference, although hours of raw footage was leaked online a year and a half ago (I downloaded and reviewed the leaked footage when it came out.)

For those who want to see the chilling video, LiveLeak has preserved an online copy of it. Watch it, and truly contemplate the fact that these men and women talking shop are providing a service demanded by nearly a million people in America every year. Their careers consist of carving tiny human beings into messy meat, and then selling off the corpses for a tidy profit. Watching Daleiden’s conversations, it’s not hard to understand why the National Abortion Federation was so desperate to have the release of the footage blocked. I wonder how many nights they spend lying awake wondering what they said on camera, trying to recall their conversations with Daleiden, terrified that they said something incriminating.

And no wonder: In a video that is just over three minutes long, we get an up close look at what abortionists do every day:

Dr. Lisa Harris told a laughing audience that people would empathize more with abortion providers if they knew how much abortionists deal with, like “the heads that get stuck that we can’t get out.”

Those heads are often eyeless: Dr. Uta Landy also received appreciative chuckles when she mentioned getting grossed out when an “eyeball fell on my lap.”

Not that it matters, though. Dr. Deborah Nucatola resurfaced again, this time chatting with Daleiden about keeping baby heads separate after the abortion for the customers who want to purchase brains. The eyes aren’t necessary. Nothing to see here.

Crushing the baby heads can be tricky—Talcott Camp related how important it is to ensure the bone edges of the shattered skull don’t cut the mother’s cervix on the way out.

That’s not the only problem—the babies don’t always go gently into that good night. Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Susan Robinson told Daleiden that, “The fetus is a tough little object, and taking it apart…is very difficult.”

And perhaps most horrifying of all, Dr. Ann Schutt-Aine, director of abortion services at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, described how she dodges the laws on partial-birth abortion (PBA): “If I’m doing a procedure, and I see that I’m in fear that’s it about to come past the umbilicus [navel], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg or two so it’s not a PBA.”

Think about that for just a moment. Pull off a leg or two. That’s a doctor talking about a human being like a little kid talks about a fly or a spider. Can you imagine the pain these children experience when, as Dr. Robinson said, they’re being “taken apart”? They might be tough, but the exterminators coming to pull their limbs off and sell their heads have tools they simply are no match for. Planned Parenthood likes to say that these videos are “deceptive.” Well, forget the market in baby body parts for just a minute. Listen to what they are saying. Dismembering. Decapitating. Disemboweling. This is undeniable.

Once again, David Daleiden has shone a light into darkness and sent dark things scrambling about. The now-removed YouTube video called the snippets a “preview.” We can only imagine what new horrors are to come
