Vote For Pro-Life: Elections in May 2019
In May, local elections were held and Life Institute’s Vote Pro-Life initiative informed voters nationwide as to how their candidates stood on Life issues.
Mobilising the movement
Hosted several local and regional meetings and also spoke at events, such as the Divine Mercy Conference in February and the Irish Catholic conference in March.
Media Engagement
Our media spokespeople continue to defend the right to life of preborn babies on national and local radio, by taking part in TV and radio debates and contributing to opinion and news media pieces – including this piece in the Wall Street Journal.
Gript Media
Our most exciting project this year...
Gript Media – the new Irish media platform which is challenging the left-wing, anti-Christian consensus, and giving a much-needed voice to traditional values and free debate in Ireland.

Promoting the Unplanned Movie
This is such a powerful story, telling what happened to make Planned Parenthood worker Abby Johnson leave the abortion provider business, and become such a compelling voice for mothers and babies.
Rally for Life 2019
The theme for this Rally was a call to Stand For Life, because no vote, no piece of legislation, and no referendum can ever make abortion right. We were delighted to see people of all ages and all walks of life respond to that call.
The best thing about the wonderful Rally for Life which took place in Dublin on July 6th was that the superb turnout showed the commitment to the pro-life cause had not diminished.
March for their lives: Belfast
Sinn Féin leaders helped to rally support for the Westminster vote – and in doing so, they signed away one of the most fundamental principles of Irish sovereignty. Sinn Féin is happy to sign that freedom away in order to see abortion legalised.
Pro-life politicians and brave organisations like Precious Life have vowed to fight on – and to overturn the imposition of abortion. We were proud to stand with them at the March for Their Lives in Belfast.
Assisted Suicide
Ireland is in danger of sleepwalking into legalising assisted suicide and euthanasia. The media – especially – have been pushing ‘mercy killing’ as a compassionate answer, when in fact the horrific reality of what that means for the elderly, the sick and the disabled are being ignored.
Christmas Appeal
This year Pro-life movement is alive and fighting because we are struggling to pay the bills and finance these vital campaigns. We had a Christmas Appeal where people can send a special Christmas gift with the letter so that we can ALL stand for life.
